I have great memories of eating at Benihana’s. The commander of an air base in California took me there on a date, and our cook was vastly entertaining. We ended up sitting with a group of ladies who were meeting socially, and so my date, Dwight, was the only male. Our cook made the comment to Dwight that he was very lucky, being with all these women. One of the women commented aloud, “He’s not the lucky one, she is,” and she pointed to me. “He can’t take his eyes off from her!” To this day, if I drive past a Benihana’s restaurant, I have to smile.
